Research Standards
How we research, source and correct.
Editorial scope
We publish on Ethiopian and global coffee origin, agronomy and climate, market structure and trade, and the cultural history of coffee. We do not publish investment guidance, price forecasts presented as predictions, or clinical health claims.
Source requirements
Factual claims are grounded in named, retrievable sources — institutional bodies (ICO, ECX, World Bank, IFPRI, Kew), government statistics, or published academic literature. Where a claim rests on field observation or partner reporting, we say so in the text.
Evidence vs. Caffa analysis
Externally-sourced evidence is cited and linked to its origin. Caffa's own interpretation, frameworks and commercial models are labelled as Caffa analysis and carry a Caffa Research ID. They are institutional papers, not externally peer-reviewed publications, and carry no academic DOI.
Corrections policy
If you find an error, write to research@caffacoffee.ca. Substantive corrections are made in place with a dated note; material errors are acknowledged at the top of the affected page.
