I · The Legend

In the 9th century, a goatherd named Kaldi noticed his goats dancing after eating a strange red cherry. He brought them to a monk. The monk made a brew. The world has not slept the same way since.

We don't claim to be the first. We aim to be the most honest. Our relationship with our origin partner is documented, every price is transparent, and every lot is traceable from cherry to cup. This isn't marketing — it's how we sleep at night.

Four Pillars

The standards that guide every kilo we touch.

I

Ethical Sourcing

Direct contracts with our origin partner — no middlemen, premium prices paid at the farm gate. We publish what we pay.

II

The Art of Roasting

Small-batch profiles, developed over hundreds of test roasts to honour each lot's unique cup profile.

III

Climate-Controlled Logistics

Refrigerated containers, GrainPro liners, and short transit windows preserve green-bean freshness from origin to roastery.

IV

Community Investment

A portion of every kilo funds washing stations, schools, and water projects across our partner regions.

II · The Founder

A son of Kaffa.
A Canadian by choice.

Born among the wild coffee forests where the plant was first discovered, our founder carried the ritual across an ocean. Caffa is the bridge — Kaffa-sourced, Windsor-roasted, served with the same care his family has practiced for generations.
